Step 2: Main Crypt Room

Cautiously stepping forward, you push open the large metal door leading into the main crypt. Here lay the great hero Kent, who carved out the valley your village rests in with a single swing of his mighty sword. It was said that he held his blade with one hand and protected the world with the other.


You've always looked up to him, but never achieved anywhere near his glory. Tapestries on the wall told of his last days; how he stood alone with his sword held forward as the Ball of Ending came hurtling toward the earth, summoned by Eldareen magics. You know the tale by heart, the hero swung his blade and cleaved the Ball of Ending in two, saving the entire world.

You were born shortly after he'd died. Everyone had high hopes for you. However, here you are, searching for the cause of the most irritating of pests while the rest of your villages warriors have gone off to protect everyone.

You take a glance around, but in the dark it's difficult to see exactly what's there. In front of you is the hero's resting place, and to the right you can just make out a group of plants and a resting pillow for visitors, to the left there is a line of coffins filled with the hero's family. Beyond the hero's resting place you can just make out a large wooden chest.
